When my mum suffered a fall and required urgent femur surgery, it was an incredibly stressful time for our family. With both my sister and me living abroad, and the surgery needing to take place within 24 hours, we were faced with some important decisions in a very short space of time.
From our very first discussions with Dr. Arun, the orthopedic surgeon at Mar Thoma Medical Mission Hospital, we felt reassured that Mum was in safe and capable hands. His calm manner, confidence, and willingness to listen gave us the comfort and trust we needed to proceed with the surgery.
In the days and weeks that followed, my sister and I met Dr. Arun regularly. He carefully monitored Mum’s progress, kept us informed every step of the way, and patiently answered our many questions. His professionalism, compassion, and genuine concern for Mum’s wellbeing gave us tremendous confidence throughout her recovery.
There is a saying that God cannot be everywhere, so He created doctors, nurses, caregivers, and all those who dedicate their lives to caring for others. Throughout this journey, we truly felt God’s presence through Dr. Arun and the entire team at Mar Thoma Medical Mission Hospital. Their kindness, dedication, and unwavering support brought comfort not only to Mum but during a very challenging time.
While larger hospitals may have access to more advanced technology, the quality of care, personal attention, and compassion we experienced at Mar Thoma Medical Mission Hospital were truly exceptional.
